Over the last couple of decades, the increased diagnosis of ADHD in children has led to a lot more attention being focused on the disorder. Regrettably, some people without a lot of relevant knowledge have begun to mock the trend toward diagnosis, even going so far as to suggest that major pharmaceutical companies are behind the move to over diagnose the condition in order to generate excess profits.

The first major paradigm shift for people who want to understand how natural treatment fits in is to understand that ADD and ADHD are most definitely not illnesses. They are, rather, symptoms of underlying conditions that can be addressed homeopathically. Of course, the important step is to carefully determine what those root conditions are.

Let’s take the case of a child who suffers from anxiety. In our example, this young girl demonstrates combative behavior and is unable to remain seated when her studies require it.
